Meet our pianist - Johnny!

Hello! I'm Johnny.

You'll often find me playing piano at The Harbour Inn, Padstow!

I Have played the piano from the age of 8 and earned my living through music since leaving School after completing my A-levels in 1994.

My 1st professional gig was performing 'cocktail style' background Piano at the Moat house in Solihull.

From there, and over the years I have played in a variety of musical settings from pubs and clubs to weddings, and hotels. Working as a freelance musician, I've had the opportunity to perform in various bands, playing anything from Jazz and Show song standards to Pop, and the classic - Rock,n,roll!

In my mid twenties, I ran my own band enjoyed four amazing contracts at sea playing piano in a lounge band aboard Princess Cruise Ships!

Many years later, after the COVID19 pandemic, I moved to Cornwall after successfully attending an audition to join a local band down here called the Motown Pirates.

Sine then, I have played Piano at The Harbour Inn since June of 2022 after popping over to Padstow on the off-chance of finding more piano playing work! There was a piano sat there, with my name on it!

After a great chat with the owners on the idea of finding a pianist to play the pub piano, I played a little demo, and I guess the best thing to say is - the rest his history!

You'll now find me at The Harbour Inn Open Mic session at the Pub every Thursday, and every Sunday for Sunday Sessions!

I moved to Padstow in January of this year which is a dream come true for me having been on so many family hoildays in the area over the years and falling in love with this part of North Cornwall.
